Training at Muscle Brunch has completely changed my relationship to gyms, weightlifting, and my own strength and confidence for the better.

Every workout with Penina is a new opportunity to not only get stronger, but to also challenge the body issues that come with being queer and trans and a human on this earth. Penina has helped me re-establish a strength routine and feel more comfortable and confident heading into gender-affirming surgery. They formulated a workout plan for me that helped me tune in to my body, strengthen my balance and core, and lift heavy shit!

Against the corrosively competitive, conformist, and chauvinistic spaces that I grew up with, I've learned from Penina to embrace my body in whatever state it's in the day we begin a session. They've taught me form, breath, and technique that makes lifting and strength-building feel not like a painful obligation but something I love and look forward to each week with joy – a joy that I now carry into the rest of my life.
